We had a 3 day stay the end of July, arriving on the weekend when street access to the hotel is challenging due to portions of Rue St-jean being closed to vehicles. We arrived somewhat frazzled, but because of the sincere welcome by Pierrot, we forgot all about those challenges. He helped with luggage, a quick check in, and good directions to their parking. Our room on the 2nd floor was cozy, well appointed, clean, quiet, and a pleasant retreat after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was included, and was a nice way to start the day. The downstairs lounge was a nice surprise. We enjoyed being able to get a specialty coffee on a rainy afternoon. We would rate this as the best hotel overall we stayed in during 30+ day road trip. It exceeded expectations.

Room tip: Rooms in the back may be quieter on those on the street. Our room was in the back and was very quiet, with a view of an inner courtyard garden.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Centrally located in Upper Old Town on rue St Jean which turns into a pedestrian only street at 6 PM a half block from the hotel. Room was comfortable and well appointed, very quiet, and with modern, clean full bath. Breakfast baskets were delicious and unique. Common lounge room on the first floor was nice with all day coffee, tea and goodies. Staff was most helpful and knowledgeable about the city. Location was A+ to sights in Old Town and excellent restaurants. Definitely will stay their on my next trip to Quebec City.

Room tip: Ask for a room not on the front side of the hotel

Couldn't get reservations at the hotel I wanted, but found this as an alternative, and was delighted with my stay. The hotel is newly renovated, the room was spotless, the staff was helpful, friendly, and cheerful. The hotel is right in the middle of the action of Old Quebec, in the lower city. We stayed for 3 nights and would love to stay again.

Room tip: Room was smaller than most others, but also cheaper. It was the last one available.

Great location, great service, great sleeping, great breakfast treat, geez, what else can I say that wasn't great??? Really a clean, modern, classy place. We had a bit of an issue at check-in, but the hotel clearly did the right things and took care of us, I guess only to add to all the other great stuff we experienced. We stayed at 2 different hotels in Quebec City during our stay there, but we wish we could of stayed all of it at just this one. You won't go wrong here!

My husband and I drove 8 hours to Quebec City for a romantic weekend. We had booked our stay thru Expedia. We arrived in the early evening on a very busy Friday, only to find that much to our dismay, our reservation had been cancelled (by Expedia, not us). The two folks at the front desk, Emily and John, were fantastic and told us not to worry - even though they were supposedly fully booked, they found us a great room in the hotel. It has a wood floor (a nice touch), fireplace (not needed in August, but still-), and a rustic stone wall. We have a coffee maker in the room, and a basket of fresh pastries was left on a hook at the door (for $10) each morning. There is a beautiful lounge for guests on the main floor, complete with several comfortable sofas and chairs, hundreds of DVD's (and freshly popped popcorn), and board games. Perfectly located in the heart of Vieux Quebec, we can walk everywhere. We love this hotel and its employees!
