Great spot to stay. .8 miles from Frontenac and Lower town. Dining was incredible outside of hotel. Concierge was very helpful with dining suggestions and exploring... Will be looking forward to our coming back. Quebec is a great city for 4 days / 3 nights.

Location of hotel was close enough to all the attractions by foot. Our two night stay was great and the staff were excellent. The room was very clean and modern. We liked the pump dispensers in the bathroom ....soap, conditioner, lotion and shampoo ...no waste!...great idea. Have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

a great location, with friendly bilingual staff
a great room in this hotel with fine amenities, salt water pool, outdoor hot tub
a nice breakfast, choice of hot or cold buffet, in the adjacent st huberts restaurant
close to the plains of abraham, and next to the walls of the citadel,
you can have the caleche carriage pick up at the front door and go on your ride
staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to the nearest branch of our bank
we had dinner at the st huberts restaurant, chicken and fries, and the dessert, mille feuille, pastry was the best i've had..really a great place..maybe better than the famed Chateau Frontenac...

Room Tip: our room was in the grande allee wing overlooking the courtyard, very quiet

We stayed at the Chateau Laurier on 2013-07-09 and 2013-07-10. We had a luxurious room with a fireplace, leather sofas, double tub and big glass shower. The location is great as you can walk to the Plains of Abraham and Old Quebec. It is also within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. We had dinner at "Louis Hebert" which is across the street from the hotel. This restaurant is excellent. The only negative point about this hotel is that they don't have free Wi-Fi.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new part of the hotel.

We stayed at the Chateau Laurier from July1-5 and we had a wonderful vacation here, our room was nice the staff was very friendly and helpful, we did not speak any french and they helped us out by speaking in English, our air conditioner did not function on the last day of our stay and the staff had us moved to a different room with working air within one hour I think that is excellent customer service. Would love to go back, our room had a great view of the Plains of Abraham, loved all the outside cafes/restaurants beautiful city.

Room Tip: Pick a room with a view.

This was our first trip to Quebec City and although we would have preferred to stay at a small boutique hotel, the Chateau Laurier didn't disappoint. We were upgraded to a lovely suite type room. Very clean and spacious. The staff very friendly, professional and helpful.

Bonjour TravellingNewbe, thank you for selecting our hotel for your first visit to Québec City. You appreciate smaller properties, try our sister hotel Château Bellevue, with only 48 rooms it provides an Inn feeling. It is well located within the walls of old Quebec. We hope you will visit us again. Johanne Caron director of sales and marketing.

We booked this hotel because of the proximity to Old Quebec. The price was high, but we figured we would pay more for the convenience. The parking was extra, like most hotels in the city. Breakfast was not included. Wifi was $15 extra. No one offered to check our bags or valet our car. The ATM had no cash and we had to walk more than 5 blocks for another, after being given wrong directions by the not-so-helpful concierge. So, if that was not enough... there were bar "rif-raf" living it up on Grand Allee until 3 AM and service trucks starting at 5AM. Luckily, we were assigned a room with AC, apparently the other half was not working (in JULY)! We could've used a shoe horn to navigate around the hotel room furniture. We were relieved to check-out after 2 hours of sleep and immedietly booked with a different hotel. Never going back there again!
