Our family of 5 spent 4 nights at the Quebec city Hilton in July, 2013. The location was great - a couple blocks from old Quebec. The room was nice - very comfortable beds. we required an extra cot for our youngest, and it was the most comfortable cot we have seen. Our kids enjoyed the pool - which is a nice feature, and hard to find so close to old Quebec. We had some miscommunication from the central Hilton bookings however, as we had booked a 2 queen bed room with a cot. Upon check in, we learned that cots can only be used in the 2 double bed room (and the cost was the same!) - a bit of a disappointment for our teenaged boy and girl who had to share a double bed. I would suggest booking with the hotel directly for any special needs. Our only other complaint was the absolute crankiness of the concierge staff. At first I thought it must just be someone having a bad day, but I dealt with several of the staff (and I am not difficult - just quick questions mainly about directions, restaurant suggestions, etc) and all were uniformly unfriendly and curt (despite there not being a line up for their services). The thought also crossed my mind that they could be cranky because I spoke in English, so my subsequent requests were done in french (my french is...Our family of 5 spent 4 nights at the Quebec city Hilton in July, 2013. The thought also crossed my mind that they could be cranky because I spoke in English, so my subsequent requests were done in french (my french is decent) and still the same response. I met a couple also staying at the HIlton at one of the tourist attractions and they said: "what's with the grouchy concierges?" so they clearly had the same experience.More
