“A great hotel experience”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Hotel Belley is located in the heart of downtown Quebec. We found our stay to be very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright, clean, cozy and comfortable.

Having the hotel so close to the train station is really convenient. There is easy access to transit, shops and a wide selection restaurants too.

Hotel Belly also has a good little pub underneath the hotel that offer a wide selection of local beers.

I would highly recommend this hotel for the great price as well the enjoyable stay. We will be staying there again on our next visit to Quebec. I give Hotel Belley a 5 out 5 for my rating.

Stayed there two days. It's a vert original little hotel. Original high quality paitings on wall. Cool little bar with excellent jazz-blues music playing. Large and clean rooms. Very différent from staying in a large chain Hotel. Loved it. Only two stories high. No elevators.

We stayed there only 2 nights for sightseeing. We came by train and left by bus... so the location of the hotel is probably the best in whole quebec city. You also can walk around the historic centre of Quebec.

The staff was ok, they had some problems to find my reservation.

The room was very good with beautiful paintings and nice decorated.
We had a clean room in the highest floor.
Good: We did not hear anything from the bar in the ground floor
Bad: The stairs - there is no elevator!!

We had no breakfast at the hotel.

A very good experience for a very good price!

Room Tip: To avoid noise from the tavern and the street choose a higher floor

Good amenities: TV, phone, in-room coffee, free WiFi, comfortable queen-size bed, hair dryer.

Location was good for us since we had to walk to the railway station on the morning of departure. Might not suit others who want walkable proximity to tourist activities. Long walk to Lower Town & steep uphill climb to Upper Town.

Good value, would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We had room 114 in the back, NOT facing rue St-Paul or right over the bar. Very quiet.

This is a very small boutique style hotel with only 8 rooms above a very popular local bar.
The rooms are really nice with all the facilities that you need in a great location just opposite the market place of the old port. It takes a few short minutes to stroll into town.

Room Tip: We had room 113 and enjoyed its comforts very much. Bathroom is tiny but you dont live in a bathroom...

Moderately priced, excellent location, a few minutes from the train and steps from the Ecobus (which is only $1 and runs around town). Warm welcome and pleasant "artsy" feel. Walk to everything.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We came in by train so it was perfect for us. Just a short five minute walk to the hotel. The room we stayed in was actually a suite in the building across the street. It was great! The suite looked newly renovated. We had a queen size bed in the bedroom and the sitting area had a TV with 2 chairs and a murphy bed. We even had our own balcony out back and although small, for my husband who is a smoker, it was ideal. Just be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs.
The location wsa great. Everything was in walking distance and didn’t have a problem with the hill. You can always walk down the street and to the right to get to Lower Town where the shops are. Either way you’re going to be walking up and down a lot of hills no matter where you stay.

Also the price cant be beat. For what I spent on 3 nights here, could be spent on 1 night in the Chateau Frontenac. I would definitely stay here again.
