the plus: This is a great location. Well appointed room and hotel design. Direct access to one of the top restaurant in town. hertz rental is next door.
the challenges: main problem is a building design flaw... poor sound insulation = plumbing noise right beside bed head board. We there as part of a group and i heard same comment from a number of colleagues. 2. I asked for a 14h late check out but was told that as every room was changing that day this was not possible! I guess new guests must be all coming at 14h...

Summary... You should consider other options in sme area... Clarendon has more characters and Best western plus is way cheaper and not that far.

if you want to save on parking (hotel valet is $22), park at city park around the corner, between $8 and $10

Room Tip: apparently three are some bigger room than 303. Ask for them.

We stayed at the Manoir Victoria from December 26, 2013 to December 28, 2013. This was just a little getaway to enjoy the holidays in a wonderful city. We arrived a bit later than expected, thanks to a snowstorm, and our drive had really tired us out. It was obvious we were tired (especially my partner!) and Bernard at the front desk saw that and kindly upgraded us to a larger room. It was great to have some extra space! Hotel is lovely, exceptionally well located - we walked everywhere! We took advantage of the spa as well (facial for me, massage for him) and received great service. The pool, while small, was nice but there were alot of kids rough housing when we were there so we just spent some quality time in the sauna. Only minor thing I could say relates to the elevators - a bit slow sometimes and often quite packed. Mind you, this is most likely a reflection of the busy holiday season.

Room Tip: Get a room with two beds, provides more space. We stayed in room 421, no complaints!

We stayed at the Hotel Manoir Victoria last summer, and cannot recommend it enough! We had a view of Rue St Jean that was breathtaking!
We ate breakfast twice at the restaurant in the hotel, a great variety of hot and cold options.
The room itself was large, even though there were 2 queen sized beds.
My daughter loved the tiled pool in the lower level.
This hotel is situated within walking distance of many places to see in Old Quebec City. Restaurants abound, along with a longer walk to a market, that my 6 year old daughter was able to navigate, so it's not that far!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Rue St Jean ;)

Fresh decor, great restaurant, friendly staff, super spa, perfect location.

We'll never stay anywhere else when we make our annual trip to this beautiful city.
We're stayed at a few different hotels in QC but this is easily the best overall.

I've been to Quebec City many times, and this hotel has a hard to beat location if your plans bring you to the Old City. It is centrally located for shopping and plenty of dining options. While it does not boast the views that others have, this hotel has a gorgeous lobby and rooms, and certainly feels like it is the same caliber as more famous ones. It has obviously been recently renovated. Our room was large, well-appointed and very comfortable. We needed some extra items, and although it was a busy time, housekeeping arrived within minutes of my call to the front desk. Same goes for the valet parking when we needed to retrieve the car.

The bathroom had a large shower, nice amenities (amenities junkie here) and it was absolutely gleaming and spotless.

Valet parking was a reasonable $20/night (plus you could leave your car until 4 in the afternoon). The hotel did not have a casual breakfast, but it is next to Tim Hortons, so no problem there.

Minor issues we had: elevators are slow. Wifi also slow (but free). Snow trucks/garbage trucks were loud at about 5 am, but passed by quickly.

I would love to come back to try the restaurant, which looked very nice. We did not see the pool, but it is a plus just to have one in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators and on a higher floor to avoid noise.

We were in a suite located in front of the hotel. Extremely noisy!!! Didn't sleep all night- Delivery trucks in the morning starting at 4:30 am plus snow removal. Would be good idea to change the windows to something more soundproof-plus you can feel the cold air coming in.
Disappointed and tired!

We stayed here over the holidays and had a wonderful time. The hotel is close to everything and within walking distance of the Fairmont Frontenac, Notre Dame, great restaurants, shopping and other attractions. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quite large and very clean with comfortable beds, pillows and comforters. The only negative was that the room was very dark and had no view because we were on the first floor. I would definitely stay again but would ask for a room on another floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor.
