“Not worth the $8 admission”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

Museum was poorly organized and pretty sparse with information. We expected more exhibits and what it had wasn't particularly interesting. The museum would have been better if it had told a more cohesive story rather than grouping together a bunch of random data and artefacts. Would not recommend spending your time and money on this one.

“Small and not too interesting”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

This museum is spread out between two buildings, but there is just not a lot here. There is a very good 12 minute movie (French, with four headsets for English speakers) about the history of the Quebec - mainly from a military point of view) as well as several artifacts. There was another temporary exhibit of a modern artist which was interesting, but not likely to be there for long. The third floor seemed to be a church in which there was going to be an organ recital and wine reception, which seemed odd. I'm not certain we saw the whole thing, but most of it was not memorable.

My husband and I went to this museum on Tuesday when admission was free. It is on the site of a seminary with interesting buildings including a beautiful chapel. I found the exhibits to be very interesting. It's a small museum so you won't be spending a lot of time in there. It's worth the $8 price of admission.

“Good museum and chapel”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

The de-sacrilized chapel of the Seminary of Québec is certainly interesting. It is well maintained. The relics certainly make in an interesting place to visit. In a separate building, is the museum itself. The permanent exhibit is a good overview of French / Québeçois history. The exhibits are captioned in English. If you are a descendant of Québec settlers, this museum is an important piece of your history.

“Interesting and informing”
Reviewed December 18, 2011

This museum is worth a visit for those who are interested in the history of French immigrants and French society in North-America (both Canada and the U.S). I found the exhibitions well done an interesting. The museum is not very big, so don’t expect to spend a lot of hours inside. Overall an exciting place to visit!
