Best features were:
Very clean
The balcony in our room,
The on-site hotel (Cosmos) had super fantastic food - we both had steak which as cooked to perfection and was appealing to our taste buds as it was to our eyes.
Location - directly across the street from a fantastic shopping mall
On-site shop where you can purchase anything from souveniers to alcohol

We would certainly stay here again.

The afternoon/evening front desk manager, Stephane Raincourt, was superb. He helped my wife and I with directions, sights to see, places to eat, and much more with a pleasant, very friendly and never rushed attitude. He contributed greatly to the pleasure of our stay. Hotel and room were very nice, however there was a moldy odor to the room.

We stayed here for three nights while on a bus tour to Quebec City. The room was quiet (including the air conditioning), clean and comfortable. We were situated almost opposite the "Place Laurier" shopping centre and on a main bus route. We had breakfast each day at a Starbucks (I love their French Roast) which was two minutes walk away but there are other places available including at the hotel. We only used the hotel pizza restaurent during our stay and enjoyed it very much. Good atmosphere and good food well served. We had occasion to travel by Metro bus from and to the Old City which was very cheap; $2.75 each and remember to ask for a "transfer" and the return trip on the same day is included. We used bus # 800 & 801 which ran about every five minutes until I think about one in the morning. Very convenient. Quebec City is amazing and we'll return. This time our stay was short and the highlights of it were: Sainte Anne de Beaupre, the fireworks at Montmorency Falls (superb), a tour of Isle d'Orleans including a winery and sugar camp (enjoyable) and a walk-on guide toured our motor coach through the high and low parts of Quebec City (fascinating). If you visit Quebec the hotel was very suitable and we would recommend it. I am told that bed bugs are a hot topic today and we did NOT have any, in fact the mattress looked new.

The hotel is very far from the city centre of Quebec, don't go if you want to visit the city. Our experience there was one of the worst ever happened in an hotel; we checked in at 3.30 pm but the room was not yet ready! We were invited to have a stroll and then come back later. Other friends of our group were instead given a room, and our was the one adjacent, according to the unpleasant manager that made the check in of both rooms. We went to Quebec City and when we came back, after dinner, our room was given to others and we were given a terrible room at level 0, still undergoing restructuration and very far from the one expected. We made a formal reclaim against the hotel but the manager gave us only 10 dollars discount, saying that the terrible room we were given was even better than the first one. Advice: avoid this hotel and enjoy Quebec from another one, maybe much closer to the centre.

Room Tip: Some rooms are renovated, others not. Avoid absolutely the rooms at ground level

Initially we had a problem at another hotel and called the desk at the Classique. They found us a room to add to our reservation immediately. We checked in w/out any problems. We were travelling w/ bikes, and they have an underground parking garage where we safely stored our bikes and car. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The bedding was great and very comfortable. There is a small refrig and microwave, so we could make small meals easily. So, all in all, we loved staying here. The reception desk staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal w/. And, although the hotel was not in the city, it is directly on a bus route (the 801) which gets you into the center of town in about 20 minutes, and the ride there and back is nice. A no hassle experience.

Booked here last minute and ended up with a 159.00 room from the seventies. I'm mostly talking about the bedcover. Another issue, not the problem of the hotel, a bunch of teens all over the 2nd floor. My wife called and complained and was told by the front desk there were no other rooms available. After the noise kept up I went down TO tje front desk and demanded another room. The staff then switched their story and really helped us out. Koodoos to them! They gave us a panorama suite, (with a meeting room???) and full kitchette. Sweet!

I chose this hotel because I needed to stay close to the university. This hotel is right across the street from 3 very large shopping malls (including Place Laurier) which makes it a very convenient location. Lots of restaurants nearby. This hotel has been recently renovated. I passed by the stone arched elevator entrances twice before I realized what they were. I stayed in a room with two queens (no balcony) and it was nice, with a huge flatscreen tv, a desk, nice finished wood floor, and an area with microwave and mini fridge. The front desk reception was very friendly and helpful. The free wireless internet worked well. It's about a quick $20 ride from the airport (depending on traffic of course). I didn't use the pool because the large "viewing" windows by the elevators were a bit awkward, but children seemed to really enjoy it. My only complaints were that I didn't like the smell of the complimentary soap/shampoo that they provide and I didn't like how soft the pillows were (really, really too soft). Overall I'd probably stay here again if I needed to stay in the Sainte Foy area, however, if I were visiting the city I would try to stay in beautiful Old Quebec instead.
