What a nice surprise......totally exceeded what I expected in this price category; acquaintances paid twice as much for disappointing small hotel nearby. adjacent to the Ursiline convent. walking distance to everything in the Old City. Room #21 was large plus a spotless en suite bathroom with excellent shower. many english language channels on cable tv, microwave & refrigerator, wonderful bed mattress, window with view of trees and small patio below. Jonathan and his aunt had excellent advice on all my visitor questions and did the on-line airplane check in for me. even offered to be awakened at 6am if any problem with the cab to airport. Jonathan listened carefully to what I wanted in a restaurant and his recommendation was "spot on", and walking distance. this little gem and it's proprietors made for a memorable visit to Quebec. My friend and I chose this hotel because of its location (just off busy Rue Saint Louis and minutes from both the Dufferin Terrace and the Citadel, by foot), the very reasonable price, and what we hoped would be its charm. We were delighted in every way. The hotel has an Old European charm and is situated on a tiny, very quiet "ruelle", within walking distance of everything in the Old City and nearby. It is run by a thoroughly delightful young man and his aunt who gave us excellent service. Jonathan speaks perfect English, but allowed me to practice my rusty French with good humor. The Continental breakfast, served in our rooms, was a delight each morning, delicious and satisfying. Our rooms were small, but had everything we needed for our comfort. We had no complaints at all. We were looking for charm rather than luxury and this hotel has charm in abundance.

Room Tip: Because of the lack of an elevator, anyone who finds stairs difficult should request a first floor r...

What a fantastic hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic - a quiet street 5 minutes from the boardwalk. Clean!! Spacious!! Comfortable beds!! Excellent water pressure. I can't say enough about this hotel and have been highly recommending it to anyone who will listen. The small details - fridge in room, faux fireplace that has beautiful detailing, a table and chairs in the window area, a microwave and kettle in the hallway so as to not clutter the room, fresh water available in the lobby. Just a fabulous service oriented facility.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor, overlooking a quiet street. Not a long haul with the suitcases, but Mr. H...

The room was pleasant, practical, and reasonably priced, and Mr. Ho was exceptionally helpful and hospitable. It is located in a quiet area, but is not far at all from the action. No complaints. If I return to QC, this will be the first hotel I inquire with.

My sister in Law had spotted this hotel on a previous visit. We stayed 2 nights as a family group in 2 rooms. The rooms were clean with very comfy beds but comprised by the age of the building. We had first floor twin double which I would recommend. Ensuite was good with the largest basin I have ever seen. The hotel is on several floor with no lift , so no good for people with mobility problems. It was surprisingly quiet even with a rock festival going on nearby. Location was perfect for Old Quebec, I did no move the car the whole time , which was in their adjacent car park( not all hotels have parking). Did not try the continental breakfast but it looked ok.

Room Tip: First floor front twin double v nice

So easy to describe this wonderful little place! Charming, warm, welcoming, comfortable….best of all it was so easy to find! If you have ever visited Old Quebec you know that it can be challenging to find your way around the narrow one way streets! Au Petit Hotel was very easy to find, with parking right next door! The Staff very friendly and helpful, we arrived early, our room was not ready, we were offered a parking place and were able to check in a little early. Our room was very charming with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Loved the bay window seating area looking over the street! We were a total of 4 adults and were very comfortable in our room. Be sure to ask for the continental breakfast, for $2.50 you get, fresh coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit, croissant and toast, and it is delivered to your room. Quebec City is an amazing place to visit, staying at a little Hotel like this one makes you feel like you are part of the city.

Great find in old Quebec City...we'd definitely stay there again. It is not handicapped accessible (which was fine for us) but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was excellent. Parking is directly beside the hotel and everything within the walled city is walkable. The optional breakfast was good!
