This is like traveling back in time. The streets are amazing stone. The houses are
Living history. You must stop into LadyKookie to grab a pastry or Macaroon, they are wonderful.
We caught a wedding this afternoon coming from Notre Dame church, great timing.
:)

The Pace Royal has as main attraction the Eglise Notre-Dame-des-Victoires. The square itself is not something dazzling. Lots of tourists, deserves a visit, but you are noot to remember it for longtime

This was for us the most picturesque part of Quebec - we enjoyed looking at the shops on the steps down to the Place Royale, and then just soaking in the atmosphere. We looked into the Church of Victories - there was no mention of the defeat by Wolfe in 1759.

A pretty little square at the heart of the lower town... excellent for a stroll... NOT TO BE missed, if you are a coffee lover, is Le Maison Smith, a fabulous little coffee shop with excellent goodies, both sweet and savory, and a grand assortment of candies. My husband and I enjoyed three morning breakfasts here and wish we could have been there again this morning! Outside seating just far enough away from the tourist shops to be comfortable and loads of art galleries surrounding you. Flower boxes in full bloom in September and gorgeous stone facades.

The buildings here stand where my husband's ancestors' house stood in the 1600's. There are plaques recognizing this history. Very interesting.
