We spent 2 nights in Quebec and really should have stayed longer. The area along the waterfront is lovely and there are an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Some can be a little on the pricey side but overall this is a good place to start exploring the old town. If you don’t fancy the steep climb to the high town, there is a funicular that costs $3.50 Canadian one way.

All around this part of Quebec there’s so much to see and explore. By stairs or the funicular spend quality time in this part of town

We stopped here shortly while on a cruise a few years ago and it has only gotten better. The restaurants and shops are quaint, original, clean, and friendly. This trip we were able to take a tour that included the lower town and had a great time!

Take the funicular from the Dufferin Terrace (and vice versa) to get down to where Champlain first established Quebec. The lower town has interesting antique stores and restaurants, as well as the nearby St. Lawrence River.

Important events in history have occurred here. The buildings are older but beautiful. Fun place to visit.
