My family migrated from France to Quebec in the mid 17th century, then to Massachusetts in the late 19th century. Old Quebec City lets me experience the past. So many fine houses have been preserved. And then there's fine dining and great shops!

The blocks around Auberge St. Antoine and along the path to upper town are pretty, clean, safe, upscale, and private.

Really enjoyed sitting by the river and watching the activity both on land and on the river. The stores and cafe's line cobblestone streets, very charming.
