“Good walking around water's edge of St. Lawrence”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

More historical buildings as in the Upper Town. Best was taking the ferry to Levi and back (No need to get off) for great views of Old Town. Lots of shops for the shoppers. Musee de la cilvilisation is worth seeing and viewed an interesting exhibit on Paris.

“Beautiful shops & restaurants”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We walked through as much of the lower town as possible. Our hotel staff directed us to a store specializing in wines and it was worth the walk. The city is clean and friendly. Be careful walking on the sidewalk as the drivers move quite fast even on narrow streets!

“A unique experience in North America”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

The Lower Town is a wonderful area of shops and restaurants. We never visit Quebec without a stop in Basse-Ville, it has a feel that I don't find anywhere outside of Europe. A true Canadian treasure.
