My husband and I walked this beautiful historic area at dusk and night and you can feel the history. Old cobblestone streets, quaint restaurants and one of a kind shops. There was a full moon and the weather was wonderful. Such a romantic city!

It's small, and has as many if not more souvenir shops than historic venues to visit, but it makes for a very pleasant stroll. There are several shops run by local artisans, who sell made-in Quebec wares; they are worth supporting, and they enjoy talking about their work.

When you get tired from sightseeing in Quebec visit the Lower Town. Find a nice caffee, have a drink and enjoy Quebec. Listen to the music and feel the flair.

Well worth a wander for the many shops, cafes art galleries and historic buildings. Watch out for the wall art.
But it is a very steep climb back so take the funicular - just $2
