Basically a historical expanse of well maintain green space. It was the site of summer festivals including a Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney concert on different evenings.
We used the park as a pleasant walk through to gain easier access to the Musee des Beaux Arts from our mid old town hotel.
The park played host to everyone from the aged to the very young pushed in strollers. It was while walking the Plains of Abraham that we came across the Jeanne d'Arc Jardin which we found to be very beautiful and peaceful.
I can only imagine how cold this space would be in the winter months as it lies along the shore of the St Lawrence River and is in the direct line of on shore winds. In spite of the cold in winter months I am sure that the views from the parks vantage point would be a photographers dream.
