Basically a historical expanse of well maintain green space. It was the site of summer festivals including a Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney concert on different evenings.

We used the park as a pleasant walk through to gain easier access to the Musee des Beaux Arts from our mid old town hotel.

The park played host to everyone from the aged to the very young pushed in strollers. It was while walking the Plains of Abraham that we came across the Jeanne d'Arc Jardin which we found to be very beautiful and peaceful.

I can only imagine how cold this space would be in the winter months as it lies along the shore of the St Lawrence River and is in the direct line of on shore winds. In spite of the cold in winter months I am sure that the views from the parks vantage point would be a photographers dream.

We walked through the plains twice over a 4 day visit. Excellent hills and stairs allow you to eat guilt free in the evening. When I return to Old Quebec, I will certainly do that walk again and again. Any tour you take will be entertaining, but don't use the knowledge for a research paper, the historical accuracy of the tours are somewhat slanted.

This is a very nice place to spend an afternoon in. It was the site of the most important battle of Quebec City's history and has been conserved as a large, lovely park along the St. Lawrence river. There are a few signs/plaques with information about the battle, although I argue there could be more. There is a beautiful garden (Jeanne D'Arc garden) as well as old guard towers that can be toured.

This is a nice, relaxing yet active activity that I recommend doing after Musée du Fort, where you will get all the information on the battle which you can put into perspective as you stroll through this picturesque park.

We took this mini bus guided tour, it was Fabulous. The driver/tour guide was informative, witty, knowledgable and very funny. It gives you a great overview of the plains, after which you can get out and see it better on foot. I highly recommend this tour, for the whole family!

If you have some time and like to walk, you should explore this park, particularly on a nice day when it fills with picnickers, strollers, runners and anyone who enjoys being outdoors in a beautiful setting.
