Prior to boarding a cruise ship, my husband and I stayed here for two nights. You can walk all over the lower part of the city and find all sorts of excellent restaurants close to the hotel. Having a full breakfast provided was handy and, even though the dining room is quite small, the waiter and waitress kept things moving and there was never a wait. The rooms are charming with exposed brick and stone walls. We were in room 305 which consisted of a living room, dining area and bedroom. Our only problem was the difficult access to the bathroom which was up two narrow, triangular steps. The bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, ironing board and iron, coffee maker, lovely soaps and shampoos were all quite useful. Near the front desk there is a nice room with a fireplace and hot beverages. Francine, the concierge, was very helpful and made dinner reservations for us. The gentleman who handled our luggage also took it to this ship for us which was so handy.
Tips for this service and the breakfast service are advised.

My daughter and I spent three nights at the hotel in August 2013. The location was excellent. We preferred being in the lower town as it seemed more upscale and generally quiet but it very easy to access the upper town using the funicular. The hotel itself had spacious and charming rooms that were very clean. The breakfast was above and beyond what was expected. Also, many excellent restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor ( what we Americans would call the second floor) and it was very quiet an...

Le Saint-Pierre Auberge is a beautiful little hotel in the heart of Quebec City, just a short walk to docks 20 and 21 and a 15 minute (is somewhat steepish) walk up to the top of old Quebec. The rooms are spotless, unexpectedly spacious and well-appointed, the location is wonderful, and the desk staff are extraordinarily pleasant, helpful and obliging, and extremely professional. We will certainly stay here again when we visit Quebec City.

A mid-rise masonry building thoughtfully converted to its current use (feels very European). Located in the heart of old Quebec City, adjacent to the cruise terminal, and within short walking distance to many attractions. Beautiful mini-suites overlooking a variety of local venues. Would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor overlooking the harbor

Stayed 3 nights in Sept 2013. Very impressed with the level of service, always pleasant and accommodating. Fabulous breakfast was included along with coffee, tea or cold drinks 24 hours a day.

Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Centrally located it was an easy walk to anywhere old Old Quebec City.

The hotel was a delightful surprise! Upon entering, the hotel first appears to be like a quaint bed and breakfast, doning a little sitting room with a fireplace and complimentary coffee and lemondade for the guests. This is no B & B. Our room was a large suite! It had a Living Room, with a second TV, a Dining Room complete with refrig and ultra modern coffee maker, and the bedroom, with TV, had an open design. Everything was top rate, clean and modern: bathrobes, toiletries, slippers, and a comfortable king size bed. The hotel's location is perfect, two blocks off the St. Lawrence and in walking distance to the entire city. Being in Quebec City was like being in France, but without the hastle of going to Europe. The staff were devoted to our service. A chef-made breakfast is included in the hotel price: omlettes or crapes, juice, fruit and coffee.
We recommend taking 3 tours: a cruise tour on the St. Lawrence River, a van tour to see the city, and a walking tour.

Room Tip: The hotel has four floors. Our room was on the top floor. No noise and a feeling of privacy.

We visited Quebec City in 2002 and for our return trip we tried to make reservations at the hotel where we stayed previously. Our stay would be for ten days and they could not accommodate us for all of the nights. I called Hotel St Pierre instead and was so lucky that Louise answered my call. She had a room available to our tastes and when I explained that we were having difficulty finding local private guides, she told me that she would take care of all that for us. She did indeed. We communicated via e-mail prior to our arrival and she arranged five excellent tours customized for us. She sent us restaurants recommendations based on our express tastes and made reservations for us for the first weekend nights. All the hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful but Louise was special. We were very pleased with our room. We like to walk and the hotel is conveniently located in the lower town from which we ventured to many different places. Our stay included a full breakfast every day with a great variety for all pallets. One waiter was especially notable. He always had a smile and everyone enjoyed his singing. We hope to return many times to Le Saint Pierre Auberge.
