“Cool”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

I live here and walk then every time I am in the area unless with someone with mobility limits. Most people in regular shape should be fine. Think about using the funicular is you are in impractical shoes, have a stroller or several very young children, have joint pain, etc. especially if the steps are icy or if it is very warm out.

You should do it, thought, if you can!

A must do in Quebec City. Great view of "le Petit Champlain" as you walk down. Nice spot to take pictures.

“A simply amazing view”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

Although I read reviews of these famous stairs on TripAdvisor, and intended to seek them out, we stumbled upon them our first night in Old Quebec. The view from Upper Town to Rue de Petite Champlain in Lower Town quite simply takes your breath away! We had the benefit of a light snow coming down so the view was additionally charming. You cannot help but think you are in Europe. Highly recommend you take in this amazing view when you visit this beautiful city.
