Owner description: One of Quebec’s best-kept secrets is the ferry ride to the town of Levis (directly across the St. Lawrence River) and the spectacular view of the city. Located at the heart of Old Québec, the roundtrip takes about 45 minutes. Daily year-round 6 a.m.-2:20 a.m.

“What a view”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Great little excursion. Take the round trip (less then an hour). You get a fantastic view of the city, best aken at night. The experience of breaking through the ice flows was incredible.

“Shorter route if coming from the Maritimes and heading to Old Quebec”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

This will save you about half an hour ( longer if driving from Halifax and arriving at rush hour) and 25 Kms. Also a nice scenic view of Quebec city on the trip across. The drive along Boulevard Alphonse Desjardins to get to the ferry can be a patience pusher with all the traffic lights, but the ferry is a nice option if coming from Eastern Canada and staying downtown.

The schedule is on line.

“A great little cruise for a small price.”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

This ferry leaves Old Quebec and crosses to Levis on the South shore year 'round. It takes about 20 minutes to cross over but the view is incredible. You can see the Chateau Frontenac on the way over and back and there are also some great spots to visit in Levis when you get there. You can also enjoy the view of the Mont Morency falls. The best time to do this is at night. The view is spectacular.

“Of course I took lots of photos”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

The surly ticket seller was the only downpoint on this short and restful interlude. I simply bought a return ticket, queued and then hopped on the ferry. It was refreshing being on the water and lovely to look back towards Quebec City with the Chateau Frotenac, Citadel and other sights clearly visible. Of course I took lots of photos.

“Freezing in Winter”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We took Levis Ferry in January. We just bought a one-way ticket for $3.10 per head and returned without getting off at Levis. It was so freezing on the deck that we took pictures quick and got into the cabin. A view of Old Quebec from Levis was beautiful.
