Hotel was well situated, furnishings quite modern in black and white, yet cozy. Continental breakfast excellent. Staff recommended perfect dining experience. We had to cut our trip short due to a family death, and the staff could not have been more cooperative. We will go back.

Great hotel. Loved that it was an old bank. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Recommendations on restaurants were excellent. Continental breakfast was good.... we expected more than a coffee machine. Overall wonderful experience and we would definitely return.

A very comfortable hotel located in the part of lower town that is authentic (note that the uber-commercial part was built in the 70s).

Pros:
The location was away from the crushing crowds dumped into lower town by the cruise ships. There were interesting shops and restaurants that didn't need to cater to the one and done crowd.

The continental breakfast was more than adequate for our needs and the espresso maker was surprisingly good. We never found a better cup made by a human being in both Quebec or Montreal.

Cons:

The location for some could be an issue. My wife and I enjoyed the walk to upper town (not unlike San Francisco) but this could be an issue for some. However, there is transportation for a dollar to and from upper to lower town.

I was at a business conference and was closed out of getting a conference rate at a different hotel! Turning a lemon into lemonade was effortless by my staying at the Hotel Le Germaine-Dominion. It was so luxurious yet cozy and the staff could not be more gracious nor more accommodating. Doors magically opened at dinner at all the top restaurants in Quebec thanks to the concierge! I loved having a cappuccino expresso maker 24 hours a day at my disposal and there was always fresh fruit and something yummy to nibble on in the lobby. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the linens soft and perfect! The continental breakfasts were great and I loved the decor,I loved the amazing bath products and I just really loved this hotel. I most definitely will be back!

Primarily from reading the printed reviews, we selected HOTEL LE GERMAIN-DOMINION. For us it was an excellent choice. The location could not have been better. It is within walking distances from many tourist sites. The hotel staff was most accommodating and friendly – their suggestions regarding a late night restaurant, L’Echaude, were right on (we having arrived on a late flight). After 9 pm there is a reduction in price on selected appetizers which might appeal to some. The coffee/tea along with fresh fruits in the lobby at all times was of great interest. Yes, we will return
