We toured the citadel in August of 2012 with our 7 year old and infant in a stroller - it was an amazing adventure! Our tour guide was sooo knowledgeable and entertaining, he even had teh children enthralled! I am so glad that we finally had the chance to visit - if you are in Quebec - this is a MUST SEE!

Javier was a great tour guide. Besides the basics of the tour, he was very knowledgable on the questions the group had and took the time to answer and expand on our queries. Very interesting history of Old Quebec!

We didn't have as much time as we would have like at the Citadelle because we got there late but feel we got the most out of the time we were there due to excellent signage and information available. There were comprehensive diagrams and informative boards throughout the structure.

As some have mentioned this area has some of the best views and therefore offers outstanding photo opportunities. When the sun sets (at least in September) the new copper roof on the Chateau de Frontenac shines like a new penny. We didn't see the changing of the guards but heard from other visitors it is worth planning around.

The interior holds the meat of the tour but a nice side adventure is to try to walk to outside areas around the Citadelle. We did and were rewarded with several unique viewpoints of the structure and surrounding area. The only downside was a bit of rubbish here and there which we felt was out of place in an otherwise very clean city. Probably some youths having a fun and hanging out the night before...it happens.

An excellent tour in either English or French which was very informative. We were hampered slightly by the snow but fabulous views .

Canada's military history is rich and interesting. From the creation of Canada to the world wars. Stop by and remember their sacrifice.
