Best view of Île d'Orleans, of the river, of the city across, i.e. Lévis, and of the bridges in the distance. At the foot of Château Frontenac, it is a very nice place to talk, day or night, and to enjoy an ice cream.

The steps and path goes on and on. However, when you get to the top there is just a tourist shop and the parking area. There is still a further walk to get to the uppermost point with the cannons.

We found this walkway a great way to enjoy the view of the river and get some exercise to work off all our croissants!

A lot of steps to climb but you do get a good view - though some of the trees could do with pruning to make the most of them. At the end you are on the edge of the Plains of Abraham. Worth the effort.

An easy walk through Quebec's history. Stroll past the new Ramparts archaeological site. View the St Lawrence from atop the old ramparts. Enjoy street entertainment (in Season).
