The staff were friendly, informative, & accommodating. The hotel (appears more typical of an Inn) was quaint and extremely clean. It was mostly quiet and the continental breakfast was very good: Croissants, pate, cheese, juice & coffee. The decor was antique and lovely, taking you back to an earlier day with a European flair. We opted for a room facing the street and it was warm & quiet. The location was perfectly situated for seeing the local sites. Parking was available (for a small additional cost) not far from the hotel and was safe for our large vehicle. There were local maps and the staff was happy to make restaurant & site suggestions as well as provide directions. Lovely hotel & people. We won't hesitate to return.

Room Tip: Check the available rooms to find a favorite as they are all decorated differently.

We stayed for four nights over thanksgiving and we loved it. The two owners were friendly and helpful. We arrived early from the airport (10:30 am) hoping to leave our luggage and they kindly gave us our room. We loved all of the beautiful antiques and appreciated all that a house of its age had to offer. It was a lovely change from a typical hotel. It was very clean and our king bed was very comfortable. We loved the quiet street with the sound of horse and buggies going by. This lovely hotel was conveniently located.
I have read some of the other reviews and really feel that if you want charming, and to get a real feel of old Quebec, this is the place to stay. Most of the other hotels do not offer a "continental" breakfast or a refridgerator in your room, great for beer and wine with cheese before dinner,"thank you for the nice big wine glass from your cabinet".
We appreciated the privacy and not the feeling of imposing like some B&Bs. Because we enjoyed our room, especially in the morning, our only request would be a coffee machine in our room ( it was fun watching him master the coffee and unlocking doors to spoil me in the morning LOL)
Thank you Erlene and David

Room Tip: The king room is well worth the little extra cost. If you have a problem with stairs, advise them in...

We stayed in early October and found the place to be generally just "okay". The room was as one would expect for a hotel of this vintage and rating level. What was somewhat “off” was the apparent lack of the sense of hospitality one would expect of most any hotel. The continental breakfast was not only pretty bland, but it was exactly the same every morning. We were never greeted with a “good morning” or “how is your stay”, which gave the place a rather cold or at least indifferent feeling.
The free Wi-Fi did not work in our room for two days of a three day stay. Hence I had to sit in the breakfast area to use Wi-Fi. Not really a big deal, however, what I found odd was that I went out of my way to work with the IT contractor in order to save him time (and the hotel money) in fixing the problem. When finished, I asked the owner if I could get a cup of coffee in the break area, and was told sure, for a dollar.
When it comes to hospitality, they just don’t seem to get it.

We wanted a room in a small charming inn in the old city close to the Chateau Frontenac and we were not disappointed. The owner and staff were lovely, warm and friendly. They assisted us with our tours throughout the wonderful old city. Our room and bath was clean and just what you would expect in an old inn. The baggage uplift was a nice surprise especially since we were on the third floor. Breakfast was on the back porch was very nice. We would definitely go back for another stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Cap Diamant while visiting in Quebec City. The owners are wonderful and very helpful for recommending things to do in the area. Our room was on the first floor and had high ceilings, fireplace (non-working), bay window, separate bath, heating and air conditioning controls, and the WIFI worked great. The hotel is situated up the hill in the old city area and is located on a quiet street. Discounted indoor parking is available thru the hotel for $17 CAD per day.

Although it is located on a side street, it is very near the Frontenac and everything in Old Quebec. It was a very old building, but the updates were good, including the porch where we had breakfast. The stairs were a little difficult particularly for our friends who were on the third floor. Also our room was at the B & B which was next door, so we had to have 3 keys - one for each building and one for our room. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again for sure. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and provide a nice continental breakfast.

Room Tip: Our king room, #1 in the Bed and Breakfast was large and had a larger bathroom. Some of the bathroo...

Above average hotel. Friendly helpful staff, large rooms furnished with antiques. Dumbwaiter to lift bags to upper floors meant no need to drag them up the stairs. Lovely breakfast area with outdoor courtyard, weather permitting

Included breakfast was fine, nothing special. Yoghurt, orange juice, croissants and sweet blueberry bread. Some bread and toaster or cereal would be nice. Keureg coffee maker was nice touch.

Excellent location, easy walking to historic sites and good restaurants.
