Go at noon so you can experience the canon firing and the changing of the guard. he young "soldiers" are extremely informative and eager to engage. It is a bit of a hike, but well worth it. The bagpiper made the experience even better

The makers of the museum apply a very broad definition to the word "Civilisation." If you're expecting to learn about humanity from the Stone Age to today, well, that's not quite what you'll get.

The two exhibits that we saw were "Paris during the Belle Epoque" and "Video Games." And incredibly, the video games part was actually more compelling, because it was somewhat interactive (of course).

If you need to kill some time or are looking for an indoor activity, the museum is worth it. If you have to choose between the museum and other activities, and you can only do one of them, I'd go for whatever you had in mind other than the museum.

The museum provides and interesting view of the history of Quebec. And the free guided tours can be of great help in understanding French Canada. We were there fro a temporary exhibit about Paris during the late 19th and early 2oth Century. It was just spectacular.

Check your weather forecast, and if rain is the order of the day, run to this museum. And even if rain is not in the forecast, do go.

Beautiful museum. We went to the Paris in the Belle Epoque exhibit and the Quebecois exhibit. Totally different themes but both intriguing.

Give yourself about two hours as it well worth it. We bought the two museum ticket package which gives you a nice discount. There is also a three museum package but we didn't have enough time to do all three.
