While there are a number of shops hawking typical tourist souvenirs, this street also offers several stores with quality goods produced in Quebec, including metal works, glass, ceramics and art. Mixed among the shops are some bistros and pleasant places to just enjoy the surroundings.

Visiting this waterside, under the wall neighborhood in Quebec City transports you to many parts of Europe that have been left undisturbed by modernity. Narrow cobblestone streets mark the neighborhood, which is full of shops and eateries, historic churches and some museums. You cannot visit this magical city without walking down the steep 65 steps and stepping back in time.

As part of the UNESCO World heritage Site, touring la rue Petit Champlain is a must, but the press of tourists and gift shops are almost over-the-top.
