A great place to take guests. Many exhibits are free...enough to spend an afternoon. Beautiful and inspiring.

Don't miss this museum. It's a bit of a walk to get to but worth all the effort. Housed in a former prison, it is truly special. The arched ceilings and the glorious colour of the bricks. We went to see the Brousseau Inuit sculpture and art exhibit. We loved it. What a perfect place for a museum such as this. Climb the watch tower and see the art installation there. We were so glad we went.

Our visit found us enjoying a special exhibit of Lady Artists from Mexico and the United States - doing surreal stuff! Great exhibit, great permanent exhibits, especially the Inuit Art. And lunch...... at the restaurant on premise was lovely!

After a long walk from the city wall, we reached the museum. To the right of the entrance was an exhibit of paintings and to the left upstairs we found First Nation sculpture. As this was a prison morphed into a museum, pause at some of the prison cells in between.
