“Best place ever..”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

My husband and I spent a night at Le Gite du Hu-Art in April 2013. That was a best time ever we have spent. The room was spotlessly clean and the view from the room was wonderful. They provided nice homemade breakfast(huge!!) and even asked us if we had any issues with foods such as allergies, vegetarian and so on. We are planning to go back there for next vacation in summer. They have several activities to do around the area. Beautiful location...and on top of that, the owners are wonderful and helpful. I definitely recommend Le Gite du Hu-Art to anyone who has a plan to stay over in Quebec city!

We are the FIRST and only review you have put on tripadvisor… and for us it means a lot!!! You took the time to register and put in words your experience at our B&B and decided to share it with the Tripadvisor community!!!

Because customer satisfaction is our primary goal, This is the best reward we could get from our guests!!!

We hope, next time, you will be able to come in a better time of the year to be able to enjoy water activities on the lake in summer time, hiking in the colourful forests in autumn season or skating on the frozen lake in winter time… So many reasons to come back and taste other different loon surprise breakfasts (we have about 10 different ones)

Thanks again and hope to see you back soon ;-)

This B&B is slightly further out of Quebec City about 25 minutes drive and on Lake St Charles. It is a beautiful little area near the lake and the B&B is actually set on the lake, a few meters walk from the house.
We had a very relaxing stay at this B&B- although the Spring weather was very cold 7 degrees during the day, we found the place cosy and warm.
What we loved about this place is that there are kitchen facilities and also laundry facilities to use here. The hosts Linda and Pierre were very welcoming. We were concerned that in Quebec our French would not be good enough, but Pierre was very fluent in English and made us feel exceptionally welcomed.
They have an extensive list of suggestions for things to do and maps of every kind for you to borrow. We did appreciate all their help with road and traffic directions.
We stayed in the Garlarneau room and it was soooo spacious for the 2 of us but easily could fit 4 ppl.

My husband and I saw the reviews of this B&B online, and decided to book it as a stopover while traveling east. And it lived up to all the good feedback...for sure! It is new, clean and the owners are so welcoming and warm. The lake is beautiful and relaxing, and only meters from the house. All the necessary amenities are in the room (we had the Queen room with bathroom). There are plenty of canoes/kayaks etc to enjoy the lake if you have time. And the breakfast - DELICIOUS! It started with a fresh mango smoothie and then we were served gorgeous apple crepes with fresh fruit and coffee. The portions are large - my husband ate half of mine! The bed was super comfortable, the owners gave us good travel suggestions and we would definitely try to go back one day!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts, Linda and Pierre were the best! They offered us suggestions on things to see locally and even gave us warm snow boots to use! They have a large assortment of skates to use on the lake if you like and snow shoes. The breakfasts are simply amazing and fueled us up for our day of sight seeing. I would highly recommend this B&B to all. We would certainly stay here again.

Every day the breakfasts were presented with artistic detail and were delicious! The best breakfasts we have ever eaten - every day we were here! The room was comfortable and every detail attended to. Thank you for your warm hospitality. It truly was a haven of rest and rejuvenation. We have wonderful memories of our stay at Le Gite du Hu-Art to take home with us.
