I had a great time on a food tour in Barcelona, so thought this would be a good way for my friends and I to get oriented to Old Quebec, learn some local history and get an introduction to some Québécois food. I was not disappointed! We met our tour guide, Richard in front of the visitors' center....so easy to find. Richard gave us a quick orientation to the old city & significant history, and then gave us a summary of the places we would visit. We made 5 stops that included quite a variety....shops, restaurants and even a monastery. Each stop presented a different take on local history and/or regional food influences including traditional favorites and present day gustatory trends. So much to experience and absorb in such a short time! The sites we visited were well prepared for our group of 15 and presented our food and drink samples in an organized manner. Richard did an outstanding job of presenting information and gave us many tips on places to visit and what to eat where in the city. I highly recommend this tour and will undoubtedly do similar tours in other cities!
