we ordered the $82 and $107 prix fixe. Yes we knew about the prix fixe price before hand, but was expecting better food quality and service (especially from reading tripadvisor's reviews)

the food quality is very binary. chicken and fish were just blend. game poultry were too salty. even the lobster bisque is very salty. the minimum I would expect a fine dining restaurant to serve was a hot roll of bread. instead I god stale, cold bread. that's really a turn off.

service was so so as well. from waitresses not knowing how to pour wine, to not refilling our water to too much dead time in between course.... all the little things add up.

So I would say this is a not happily spent $350 (Would be at most $200 inclusive of wine)

On our Saturday-night visit we ordered two different multi-course menus with wine pairings, so by sharing had a remarkably diverse dinner. Each of the three dishes within each course was very good to near-excellent, especially the foamy delights included in some of the trios. The wine pairings were also well chosen, and the service was efficient. We didn't experience long delays between courses as other reviewers have noted. Although the tables are a bit too close to one another for true cosiness, the overall ambiance is very romantic—we had a nice table for two upstairs, next to the stone wall. While not among the very best meals we've enjoyed at fine restaurants, our dinner at Le Patriarche was certainly one worth repeating and recommending to others.

During a recent trip to Quebec City we we fortunate to get reservations at Patriarche during the busy holiday season. Upon entering, the cozy old Quebecois decor took over and we knew we were in for a treat. Selecting from a choice of three different five course dinners with different wines selected for each course, was no easy task as each looked delicious. The trilogy presentation of each course was unique, creative and without exception, exceptionally well prepared and delicious. A true gastronomic experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended for those who enjoy the artistry of food.

This is not food-it is an incredible dining experience. 8 courses with wine pairings, superb service and gorgeous and inventive food. This was a once in a lifetime experience for us. Pricey - over $500.00 for two but worth the splurge!!

Unique and unusual dinner, even in the slow-food, farm-to-table world. You pick one of three menus and then the food itself comes out in threes...the tiny portions add up! I had the duck option; duck this and duck that, duck sausage, etc...all wonderful combinations of flavors that seemed to unfold like a story. Just a note, dinner for 3 came to CN$400 - and that's sans wine.
