“A Fav Spot In Quebec”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

This is a great spot, right in the middle of old Quebec, for a snack, breakfast, brunch, lunch or just about any time. It’s cozy and feels like you’re walking into a friend's kitchen. Someone is always making something behind the glass while you’re waiting to place your order. I can honestly say that just about everything is delicious and there is a fine selection of desserts. I particularly like the soups, salads and quiche’s. There is a great outside patio for the summer and I love to sit on the 2nd floor at the window and watch people go by. Be warned that it is a little cramped and not suitable for persons with mobile disabilities as there is no elevator and the stairway is a bit steep.

“Nice Little Bistro Affordable Food ”
Reviewed May 17, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I when there for lunch. Very nice ambiance. Very affordable delicious food. I had the pâté au canard with the carrot cake and a cafe au lait. My wife got the quiche and a chocolate tart with pair, almonds. This is all made in house and very tasty. Only draw back is you have to go to the counter order your food and carry it to your table like a cafeteria. I guess this is how the keep the prices low. To sum it up, I would say very pleasant staff and great food.

“Starbucks alternative.”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

We had a light breakfast here several times during our visit. Good coffee, nice selection if breakfast pastries. Sandwiches, croque Monsieur and similar items available for lunch plus more decadent sweet offerings. Peaceful upstairs to sip your coffee, read the paper or check email. Staff is courteous and friendly. Beats Starbucks and Tim's any day.

“Good cafe/deli food”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Had a croissant and duck canard. Croissant is definitely better than any commercial cafe such as La Brulerie. The apple butter was a surprise! Though I think Paillard has the best croissant! The pie shell of the duck canard is as thin as it can be. it was fully stuffed with duck meat and potatoes. The Mediterranean salad and vinaigrette vegetable were very delightful.
