I usually go in the summer, to take advantage of their quiet courtyard terrace, a rarity in downtown Montreal. The pizza is great, and the freshly made pasta seems to be very popular. The service is great too. All at very reasonable prices.

Came upon this quite by accident. The chef was out front explaining to a group of other curious customers. Was impressed with the menu & decided to give it a try. Ordered the Gigi which was hand made fresh fettuccini in tomato sauce with pancetta & mushrooms. The portions were huge, the pasta cooked to perfection. The rest of the group had the pizza which was nicely done with huge portions of meat on thin pizza dough. Extremely tasty. Ended with tiramisu which was exceptional. Definitely a great find.

Think intimate ambiance, friendly chatter, excellent service, amazing food, good prices.Oh, and Elio.
Highly recommended: Buccia (fresh pasta with just the right touch of lemon zest - perfect for hot summer nights) and Carbonara (with home-made pancetta). The waiter suggested the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo a bit chilled, and he was right. For meat lovers, the restaurant also serves veal, chicken, beef. The pasta should be tasted, though. It's made on premises, like all their foods and ingredients. Make room for their tiramisu' and espresso. And ask for Elio. A born storyteller, he'll be happy to tell you how he got into this business, where he comes from, who cooks the food served at his restaurant, how the economic crisis is affecting Montreal, how the neighborhood is doing. Bishop Street seems a bit off the beaten path but it's easily accessible and animated even at night. Take a break from the Old Montreal and dine at Ferrari. You won't be disappointed.

Found this by accident but so glad we tried it. My wife had the fresh pasta, which she saidwas the best she's eaten and my sampling of echoed that sentiment. I had rabbit with vegetables and potatoes, which was fantastic. Highly recommended.
