I would like to give La Vie Est Belle 5+ stars. The house was spacious and quaint. The owner was very thoughtful in every detail. I was with friends to celebrate my birthday and this was a great place to relax between outings. We were walking distance to some restaurants and shops and just an Uber ride away from attractions. Looking forward to returning to Montreal and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this place if you’re taking a trip with your family or some friends and would like something more homey and cozy than a hotel.
La Vie Est Belle was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay during our first visit to Montreal. There was plenty of comfortable space for everyone. Helene was so hospitable and took very good care of us. La Vie Est Belle is well appointed, everything you could need, so clean, high quality linens and bedding, two separate tv areas when the family needs to have some space, large dining table was wonderful for our family meals and game nights. La Vie Est Belle is located in the family friendly neighbourhood of Rosemont La Petite Patrie. We felt safe here - day and night. Just a brief walk (1-2 blocks) and you find yourself on Masson street where many amenities are available, including a large supermarket & drug store. We arranged parking ahead of time with Helene and found this very helpful since we had a car for day trips out of Montreal. I can only imagine how pretty this property would be in the summer time when flowers are blooming and the outdoor patio is available. We hope to come back one day!
We really enjoyed this lovely home in this very nice Montreal neighborhood.. It is so tastefully decorated and Montreal chic - it met all the needs of our group of seven adults. Helene P. is a very gracious owner-manager. The home isn't huge, quite cozy in fact, but Helene has maximized the space to full efficiency. The kitchen was very well stocked with all utensils, cookware and dishware. We ate most of our meals at the full-sized patio table; there is also a large dining room table that we used for our family game night. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the two full bathrooms, though small, were just fine. The greatest patisserie in the world (maybe a bit exaggerated, but we fell in love with this place and their incredible chocolate croissants) is a 5-minute walk away. There is a convenience store (think NY bodega) 100 yards away, and a very nice grocery store just a 3-minute drive away. All in all, just a wonderful and charming home away from home.
