“Nothing spectacular”
Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went to Suite 701 twice over the weekend: once for drinks and once for brunch. The lounge's look, atmosphere and location are fabulous! We were really impressed with that aspect on the first evening when we went for happy hour. Although the drinks were pricey, they were very good. Even though the bar was almost empty, the service was very slow and none of the bartenders cared to ask if we wanted more drinks or the bill.

We decided to try out the brunch the next morning, since we heard on here that it was good. The food came fast but it was not good. Our party ordered different items and everyone was disappointed; especially considering the price and place. The food was very bland and cold.

I would not go back there on my next visit to Montreal.

“Great Service - Our "Service Executive," Mary, was great!”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

We recently celebrated the departure of an employee for lunch and we had a great experience.
The restaurant was very busy but our waitress (Mary) took great care of us. Food and Wine (downstairs menus - Aix) were top notch.
I would recommend this place to anyone for sure.

“HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Had a HORRIBLE experience at this restaurant, it felt like a body shop.

We came in at 8 on sat and the hostess found us a table. We ordered and food was not good, my friend ordered stead rare and she got it well done... and when she tried to change it the waiter was arguing with her that it was rare... as if we dont know what rare is...
Then at 10:pm we were drinking our coffee and the hostess comes up to us to tell us that we have to leave because the table was reserved !
she "claimed" first that she had told us when she seated us which is untrue, so she was arguing that and that was a lie, they probably got new customers and wanted to get them a table asap and she wanted us out, and to top it she was rude and the manager was even worse than her. we were treated so badly and definitely I would rather put my money in so many great restaurants in town.,..

In conclusion, do your self a favour, and DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. If I can Rate it 0 on this site I would.

We stayed at the Place d'Armes Hotel and everything was great. Try anything for breakfast at Suite 701. Romy was very sweet and attentive.
