“Great al fresco dining”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Wonderful meals x 3 here, most recently outside. Great choice and good vibe with an excellent wine list. Always bustling and busy but makes for an exciting and atmospheric meal in a nice neighbourhood. The after 10 thing is a great deal if you can wait that long. We most recently went for a grad celebration and the meal helped make our grad celebrant feel special.

“Insensitive toward food allergies”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

A member in our party has a food allergy, peanut oil, so before arriving, we called to confirm that they do not cook with peanut oil, and were told that they do not.

Upon arriving on a Monday night, we inquired again with the maitre d', who indicated, that yes they did use peanut oil in their cooking. When we informed them that we could not eat there, the maitre d' insisted that it would not be a problem - "just tell your server".

It doesn't work that way, so we had to leave, fortunately, we were able to get in at Da Emma, which was excellent as usual. We were looking to trying someplace new, but not LeMeac.

We were surprised that a French restaurant cooked with peanut oil, our experience is that Classic French Restaurants do not, so must be Nouveau.

“Nice athmosphere”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

The place is nice and well decorated, the service depends on the waiter. It is better to go at night because is less expensive. I had little choice because I suffer from a garlic allergy and most of the menu had garlic and was already partly prepared.

“Great ambiance, good french food.”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

This cute bistro offers a wide variety of french cuisine. I've been for breakfast (great, but pricey for breakfast so I would only go back as a treat and not make it a regular thing) and I've enjoyed their after 10 menu. The beef tartar is great, the crusted goat cheese salad is also very enjoyable. I'd definitely go back, but I'd stick to the after 10 menu as its a lot better on the budget!
