“A must for sushi's lovers.”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Totally love this place. The sushis are delicious, unique and original. You must try the sashimi tartar - so good! Ask them to create a meal for you for the number of people and budget, like something for 50$ for 2. You will get a great selection du Chef. The restaurant is very small, and so popular, you might want to reserve and take to eat out. In the summer, you can eat your meal in Park Laurier which is very close to the restaurant. If you have the chance to get a table, eat there, it's nice & cozy, but you might be very close to your neighbor's table. They are expensive, but considering is one of the best sushi restaurant in town, it's worth it. Can't wait to go back!

“Did you know Madonna orders sushi there when she comes to Mtl?”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Wow. I thought I loved sushis before trying what real gastronomic sushi actually taste like. Go there, give them a budget (like 80$ for 2) and they will creat you the best combination of sushis. There is room for about 10 people so go there early (before 6pm) or you will wait at least 60 min.

“Very good!”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Ate at Tri Express after hearing so much about it. Sushi was very good although I found the service fast. The sushi was on the table in minutes....probably pre-made. Would return to have the the maki lobster a la Tri....so delicious I could have eaten just these! Overall a fun place to eat..only complaint was how rushed everything came out!

This place is a nice small original sushi place. The special tri sushi and portion are generous and delicious. You have to make a reservation most of the time. I recommand if you are in the area

“Best of Sushi”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Who would have thought that my favorite sushi place would end up being in... Canada?! I have been to Tri express many times over the years during my trips to Montreal and this little restaurant still remains the best one for sushi. Be aware that lots of people share my opinion so the place is very quickly packed, especially during the weekends. I would recommend to book ahead in order to avoid long wait or disappointment. Tri express is a small and intimate restaurant with an artsy decor. You can either sit on the very tiny tables or directly at the bar (which is where they will serve you the quickest). Everything I have tried on the menu was good. I recommend the surprise sushi. The cooks are very creative and the mixes fantastic. Service is between good and decent depending on the staff. But this is mostly about the food. You cannot get any fresher than this!
