“Couldn't ask for any more beer choices”
Reviewed April 26, 2010

The pub has two pretty big floors all in a typical Irish architecture and two patios (a big one at the back with its own bar.
The weekend band is awesome! They know how to rock it! :D
If you can't find a beer you like in this place then you don't know beer!
The food isn't really impresive, although I only tried the nachos (not cheesy enough) and the calamaris (a bit over priced for the portion).

Went to Hurley's the last night in Montreal and had a amazing time... Very friendly atmosphere. Amazing bands, good food and plenty of drinks. Hats off to the Fiddler from Solstice Jonathan Moorman.. Fantastic and HOT! :) 2 thumbs up!! Can't wait to go back.

“Use to be great.”
Reviewed December 3, 2009

I remember going to Hurleys years ago. Something is certainly missing, not at all the same except for the same damn bands! Is there no one else who plays Irish music? It's too bad.

“Best Irish Pub in Montreal”
Reviewed May 15, 2009

If you're looking for a great time, head to Hurleys. Live music every night. Most weekends of the month feature my friends' group Solstice, featuring the best fiddle player you will ever hear, Jonathan Moorman. I prefer the downstairs pub at is smaller and more intimate, but there is a huge upstairs as well which also accomodates larger bands. The service here is absolutely excellent, you will never have an empty glass in your hand. Prices are high for beer, but considering the type of music you can see there for free, I find it worth it. Food is very tasty, but the offerings are pretty standard. If you're just looking to have a beer and don't care about the music, there may be more cost effective options though with better beers. Here you'll find most of your standard Irish/UK offerings like Kilkenny, Guinness, Smithwicks, Murphys, Tartan etc. As Irish pubs go though, this one isn't kitschy/cheesy, it's about as authentic as they come.
