On a no holds barred dining trip to Montreal, this restaurant was tops. Located in the Old City, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambience and staff were wonderful - not at all stuffy. Not the most expensive restaurant either. Try the ginger martini.

If you can afford it - do it and enjoy every bite! Both service and food are fantastic. A rare find for Old Montreal which is mostly riddled with touritsy spots....

Set in an old stone building - parking can be a hassle so dont arrive 2 minutes prior toyour reservation. I suggest you arrive early, go to the bar for a cocktail or their signature Champagne with cassis. You will enjoy the ambiance most of all!

They pride themselves on the service, etiquette and quality of their ingredients.

We chose Le Club Chasse et Peche based on other TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. We started with the "oysters with charisma". The last of the trio of pairs, wrapped in a leafy green and deep fried, was one of the most flavorful things I have ever eaten. As a starter, my partner had the seared scallops. They were served with lemon confit, a sauce with the bright taste of lemon and zero citrus astringency - brilliant. The lamb appetizer I ordered was served cold with sea buckthorn and greens and was equally delicious. For entrees, I had the chasse et peche, a combination of Kobe beef and lobster poached in butter. It was easily the richest thing I have ever eaten and was amazing. The duck breast ordered by partner was served alongside a leaf of Savoy cabbage wrapped around a mixture of duck confit and a grain we believe was barley. The cabbage wrap was as good as the duck breast itself. For dessert we had the maple parfait and hazelnut cake, sharing. Each was rich and sweet but not overbearingly so and together were a perfect closing to a a delectable dinner.

I would highly recommend Le Club Chasse et Peche to anyone visiting Montreal and looking for a special night out with a dinner you won't soon forget.

Have been to this restaurant several times. Both the food and service are always wonderful, but I tend to come back for the ambiance. The restaurant is set in a lovely old stone building in Montreal's Vieux Port. I prefer later reservations here as it tends to take on a slightly more atmospheric tone. Low ceilings, stone walls and lots of dim light. Perfect on a cold night in the winter.

Went yesterday for dinner. Everything from the service to the food was excellent! Knowledgable service staff.
As a main meal I had the venison. Highly recommend it.
My boyfriend had the chasse et peche which was a Kobe beef steak and half a lobster. Cooked perfectly

Will definitely be returning!
