This is the original bagel.

You can't have fresher because the cook them 24/7.

They are warm,sweet,chewy,heavenly!

Be sure to take a dozen(at least) half white, half black and a pot of cream cheese for an instant snack.

The service is not really good, but hey they are bagel makers not flight attendants!

For me a native they are definitely THE BEST

I purchased bagels at their sit down restaurant in the Mount Royal area. There was a long wait so my husband and I opted to take out. We both ordered bagel sandwiches, and a plain sesame bagel to see what the fuss is all about. NO BIG DEAL!!!! Yes, it was good, but it was nothing special and tasted just like any bagel back home.

These bagels are huge, super fresh because they come right out of the impressive oven and perfect for freezing and eating later.

Bagel was quite good, but beware comes with nothing else - purchase cream cheese or jam separately. Were made to get up from table and eat elsewhere as we were ordering the bagels from the counter. No explanation or chance to explain that we'd be happy to order a beverage or something from the menu. Was not a particularly busy afternoon, so this is somewhat confusing.

As a New Yorker, I am pretty particular about bagels, but the freshly baked sesame bagels I got at St. Viateur were out of this world. They really are amazing when they are still warm... The workers were also so nice to us, allowing us to take lots of photos with them. An experience not to miss!
