A nice restaurant but very busy. I was on a solo business trip and they accommodated me without a reservation, albeit with a seat at the bar. Food was great and service from the bartender waa excellent.

We ate one night during our stay in the Auberge Bonaparte and decided to dine at their restaurant. It was our best meal during our stay in Montreal. The food was terrific, the service was impeccable, and the setting was first class. The cost is a little pricey, but definitely worth the splurge.

We took a chance and went to Bonaparte without a reservation. They were very accommodating and seated us at the bar - with complete access to all menus. We enjoyed the casual yet extremely professional atmosphere at the bar. The onion soup was excellent and the lobster bisque was just ok. For the entree, I had salmon and my husband had the chicken breast with brie - both extremely good. It was a memorable meal and I highly recommend the restaurant. I think the best part is that the restaurant is situated away from the tourist trek - so it was a nice getaway from the July crowds.

We made a reservation here based on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious - and the service was excellent. We had the reasonably priced Table d'Hote - 3 courses including dessert and coffee. Go and enjoy!

A very elegant restaurant, we both had duck. It was all about presentation, artfully arranged with feathered baby cukes, puree of something,( maybe carrot, tasted like a touch of parsnip too) with baby carrots standing at attention in the puree, drizzly twirls of delectable sauce on the duck....
For me, you get so caught up in eating the art, you hardly taste the food.
It was nice but I wouldn't spend the money again.
