If you want delicious French food, attentive but not intrusive service in a nice atmosphere then look no more! Setting is reserved and menu is classic French cuisine, you won’t find anything trendy here. No-one at our table was disappointed in anything they ordered. Good wine list with some excellent values if you know what to look for.

My husband and I went here for a romantic dinner while vacationing in Montreal. We had the seven course tasting menu for dinner. It was a very good value, and the filet mignon entree was great! The wine selection is very nice as well.

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our sightseeing operator. We were not disappointed. The set menus were excellent value and nicely presented. Our server Katherine was very sweet and efficient, she had perfect timing without being intrusive. Made a lovely change to eat in a european style without being hassled or having our plates removed too early Loved the small portions for each course and was comfortably full by the end of the meal, which was followed by delicious coffee

If the food hadn't been so delicious, the ratings would have been much lower here. The maitre d' (?) barely greeted us, just pointed into another room and told us to go sit there. He followed us in a couple of minutes later, said we were at the wrong table but he guessed that was alright. After 5 more minutes, no one had brought water, bread, a menu, anything. Finally a waitress came over and apologized, saying we weren't her table but she didn't want us to wait any longer so could she please bring us something. The service really didn't improve. I'm still not sure who our server was -- several people came and went but no one seemed to take ownership. The food, however, was good enough to overcome that. I had fowl stuffed with lobster which was delicious and we ended our dinner with a plate of pastries. The restaurant is part of the Hotel Bonaparte and is a beautiful place in a great location in Vieux Montreal. Still, there are so many wonderful restaurants in Montreal I expect one of the best to really BE one of the best.
