This is a wonderful spot and the quality of food, drink and atmosphere is undeniable. However the rotten bar tender who took advantage of our language barrier and misunderstanding of happy hour was totally rotten. WE are good tippers and well traveled. Exploiting polite, patient american customers is a bad idea and counterproductive to the clientele they strive to attract. We learned our lesson about double checking the "rules" of happy hour and plan to avoid that particular type of bartender like the plague (his concern that we weren't going to tip or that perhaps we were just dumb American's did not serve him well at all - polite honesty is a universal language) . Hopefully he will be gone by the time we return - which we definitely will be doing. The 10% tip my boyfriend chose to leave was beyond kind.
