Bonne portion.
Confort food. Excellent. Especialy during winter.
Very nice ambiance - cozy, romantic with stone walls, and candlelit tables. Sometime there is a man playing piano.
Price are reasonable.
Try the "Menu du debutant" which is a kind of a "teasting" plate. This way you can try lot of speciality of the place.

This quaint restaurant served some of the best Polish food I have ever eaten (and I've been to Poland a number of times). There is a combination plate that I highly recommend. The atmosphere lends a very historic feel to the experience. You feel like you could have been sitting there 100 years ago and it would have looked exactly the same. I have to warn you that the chairs can be very hard on the back-side. The service was prompt, but a little brusque. I'm not sure if this was a cultural thing, or if they were just rushing due to it being a busy evening. The wine selection was a bit limited, especially if ordering by the glass. Overall, a great choice if staying for a few days near Vieux Montreal.

I took some friends to Stash Cafe this week for dinner. Forget about trying to eat a 3 course meal unless you're sharing. The soups were amazing. I had Bigos as the main course and it never disappoints. Leave some room for the dessert pancakes which come filled with soft cheese and sour cream and jam on the side. During busy evenings a reservation is recommended. Enjoy.

We had a lunch at the Stash Cafe, which was really nice. The ambiente is very nice with the wooden table and a very friendly waiter. My cabage rolls were very good and really authentic.
Even so the restaurant is in downtown the prices are very good. As a summary good food for good money and I can only recommend it.

We had been visiting the museum in Old Montreal and needed a quick but good meal. We were walking the neighborhood to find a restaurant where we could get a good meal and after looking at several menus decided on the Stash Cafe. The menu had a great variety of Polish food. We had the kiebasa and sauerkraut and the cabbage rolls with beet salad. The food was authentic and very tasty. The servings were good with a choice of one or two kiebasa for the serving. The service was friendly and attentive. I would return to try another offering and recommend it to my family who live in Montreal.
