Apart from a slow start to our service, we were very well treated in this familiar haunt of ours.
The sushi cannot be more fresh or tasty.
My favorite sushi is unagui, mango tango and lips.
The sake served in two small containers instead of a larger bottle was a little cumbersome.
The decor is not that japanese if you take out the sushi bar; more like downtown contemporary. The tables are spaced adequately. You can talk quietly in this place which would make it appropriate for a businees meeting. Kids... not as much.
It is fully wheelchair accessible except for its mezannine.
It is priced right for its quality but it is not a cheap place. It is worth the money. We go regularly.

Thank you for your comments. It is very much appreciated! I would like to add that kids are always welcome at Sho-dan. The reason why we are serving sake in small containers is to keep it warm longer. Thanks again to support Sho-dan.

I visited that restaurant many times.
They have a lot of specialities that I enjoy very much.
They have created many specialities that you now find out in other restaurant.
If you go there... choose specialities instead of regular sushi that you can find out all over the city.
Everything is tasty.
A little expensive but deserve a try.
Will definitively go back !

Great evening solo on business at Sho Dan. Its a dimly lit restaurant with ambiance but still cozy. I had ordered a few things, but Romeo the owner suggested changing the order which was highly advisable. Excellent, creative and fresh sushi. Service was awesome and they made me feel at home. A solid choice while out on the town, on a date or business meeting.

This is my third time here, first time for lunch, I believe ,and much is left to be desired with their specialty roll sushi menu. The place was packed, the service is friendly and it's a nice spot, and seems to have the reputation for one of the best downtown, but I'm just not impressed. I won't tell you not to visit, but I won't suggest it either. lunch at your own risk.

Good food. Hardly any options for vegetarians though and the restaurant wasn’t keen to make something simple and veggie that’s off the menu.

Service was good and “by the book” but nothing extraordinary.

Worth a visit but I wouldn’t make a repeat visit too soon..
