We had dinner on July 7 with a large party and although the service and attention we received were very good, we were also relatively disappointed with our meal.
Our meal consisted of a fried rice, fresh steamed fish, Vancouver crabs, lobster, three different vegetables, peking pork ribs, deep fried whole salted chicken, and sizzling steak with vegetables. For the most part, the fried rice, vegetables, Vancouver crab, lobster, peking pork ribs, and steamed fresh fish were very well prepared. The chicken was not prepared in the authentic manner and therefore was not very tasty at all; the sizzling steak was cut into too small pieces and therefore rendered overcooked and should have been a large cut of tender beef when prepared correctly. The meal concluded with a complimentary sweetened red bean soup that had very little red bean or taste and was probably thickened with some form of food starch.
Because we only spent one long day in Montreal we were unable to try any other restaurant for a dinner. We hope to visit the city again in the future and will definitely choose some place else.
