“Friendly service, uneven food”
Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

Kind, helpful staff help compensate for a meal that included a delightful maincourse and a dreadful starter. Stick with mainstream options and avoid complicated dishes.

“Epic Mother's Day Brunch at the Renoir!”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Mother’s Day brunch was a decadent feast. The Renoir went all out!
Oysters, omelettes with shiitake mushrooms, smoked salmon, red snapper, crab straight from the market, asparagus salad with Heirloom tomatoes, octopus salad, duck confit, artichoke hearts barigoule…(something for everyone)
Hands down the best waffles I’ve had (the secret ingredient is... Heineken beer.) Cannelés, financiers, chocolate macarons, how do you stop!? I tried it all and then some.
Staff so kind and courteous. Executive chef Olivier Perret makes the buffet table sparkle.
Feels like you’ve taken a trip to France.
Brunch every Sunday (11am to 3pm). Miam!

“Vietnamese delicacies at Le Renoir”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

My friends and I went to Le Renoir at the Sofitel last Sunday (March 24th) to experience a taste of Vietnam. For the occasion, the restaurant had invited two chefs from Sofitel Hanoi to prepare traditional meals. Although it was my first time at this restaurant, it will not be my last visit. The staffs, especially Mylène and Damien, were friendly, professional and attuned to our needs, making our dining experience very enjoyable. The chic, French-style restaurant was well decorated for the occasion and the $45 meal for five courses was very reasonable. Le Renoir was drawing a plane ticket to Hanoi and a five night stay at Sofitel Hanoi that night. We did not win. Besides that, our experience at this internationally known restaurant and hotel was without a doubt one to remember.

“A Taste of Vietnam”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Over the last few days, Sofitel Montreal hosted the head chefs from Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi for a week of Vietnamese cuisine at Renoir restaurant.

The event's Vietnamese menu consisted of five courses, with two mains to choose from. At $45 per person, there is no denying the bang you are getting for your buck at a place of this standing.

We were delighted by the experience tonight. Aside from the great dining room and service, it was refreshing to eat Vietnamese gastronomy in a posh setting like Renoir's.
