We went one evening for drinks and ended up having appetizers as well. The drinks were delicious and the bartender did a great job recommending new and interesting versions of drinks that we already like.
But the best part was the salmon tartare! It was DELICIOUS!!! and will continue to go back there for that.

My boyfriend and I always go late on Tuesday or Wednesday and the staff is always happy to squeeze us in. Which we REALLY appreciate!

We always end up taking the same thing because it's just the best. Cho Poutine (my fav Poutine in Montreal) a boa bun (different every time) and edamame.

Jeremy is normally our server and he's the best!
He's funny, nice and great at his job!

The decor is nice and chick nothing to fancy.
They'd got a really nice patio in the summer too.

I love how while sitting at the bar you can see them cooking in the kitchen and everything come out!

Definitely a st-Henri gem!

We had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately they were not met. Not even close. Our reservation was for 7pm and we were seated immediately. That's the best part of the evening.
After being poured a glass of water each, it took upwards of 10 minutes to order cocktails, and a further 15 minutes to be served said drinks. Our server "J", tried to impress us with the "17 specials" but only got through about 4 - we had to stop him and get him to focus on what we were interested in eating. It then took 45 minutes to be served our starter (zucchini & snow crab roll), which as a cold dish seemed rather excessive. Nearly another 30 minutes to be served our mains (shrimp bao buns) and sides. It took a further 20 minutes for anyone to remove our plates and 2 requests to other wait staff to hunt down the elusive "J" to place an order for dessert. We were told the cookie and the molten chocolate cake (our first choices) would take 8-10 min. of cooking time, and so settled for cheesecake, which, one would think, could be served in a matter of seconds. In fact, it took 23 minutes and another request to track down our server to get the still frozen cheesecake along with the bill - having reached the limit of our patience. We explained our disappointment with the service and "J" removed the cost of dessert from our bill. Just as well, because 2 drinks, 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 sides still cost just shy of $100.
Our table was clearly forgotten. Other tables seated after us were in and out of the restaurant well before we were. The food was fine but the service was so off that it's left a decidedly bitter aftertaste. No plans to return. Ever.

My first time at Cho was great but this time no one from the group really liked their plate. That being said, the staff is fantastic, the place looks nice, great music and it has a bit of a lounge ambiance.

The service was excellent, very attentive from the very beginning.

The cocktails we really enjoyed: Drunken Dragon and Le Henri.

Appetizers: We loved the edamame (with a lovely glaze) and the rock shrimp tempura (with delicious spicy aioli). The chicken satay was good. The fries were good as well, but when there are so many better Asian choices, I would forego that option.

My partner had the fried chicken Bao bun and thought it was very good. I had the lobster Bao bun and loved it - would highly recommend.

For dessert, one of our friends had the dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and polished it off in no time flat. I had a decaf espresso which was excellent.
