Where do I start...we were visiting Montreal last weekend and decided after having a horrible dinner on Friday at a place "highly" recommended by our hotel to find our own restaurant as recommended by reviews etc. The meal we enjoyed that evening turned out to be one of the best we have ever had. There were 5 in our party, all well traveled and serious foodies....this is the first review I have been impressed enough to write. The whole experience was top notch from the minute we walked in. The patio was basically closed for the season but as soon as we expressed that we would rather sit outside within 5 minutes we had a heater set up and the best table our dinner. We tried 3-4 appetizers and they were all outstanding. The wine selection was extensive and our server was very attentive to our glass all eve. Every single one of us LOVED our entree's. The veal dishes were amazing as were the pasta prepared numerous way's, all excellent. we were too full for dessert so we ordered one and it was a perfection as well. A nice touch are the little cookies given at the end of our dinner. We were all in agreement that it was outstanding and we were still raving the next day. In addition to the meal we were also fortunate enough to have the best service we have ever had for a dinner. Our table had Karl take care of us and we have never been so impressed. I think we were his only table because he was perfection and there the entire meal. I can't say enough about Karl as well. The owner Pietro also added to the experience by making sure numerous times that we were enjoying ourselves and that everything was good. He is a very classy gentleman who obviously take great pride in his business. We can't wait to return to this restaurant and it will certainly be a must-go on any Montreal trip.
