“Overpriced and underwhelmed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The food is mediocre. The portions are ridiculously small. The prices are ridiculously high. Don't waste your time and money. There are so many better restaurants in Montreal.

“Very good food, very expensive dinner in ancient stone building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

It is said that this location has been in continuous operation since at least the mid-1700's and has the first liquor license issued in North America. The restaurant is much larger inside than it appeared from outside, and there are interesting craft pieces on the walls. The food was quite good, although we felt overly-expensive.

“very trendy”

Second visit, overall not as impressive as the first. All courses had above average presentation but overall food quality was just average. Interior fireplaces and very nicely done. Preferred a summer visit where we had dinner on the patio.

Hello!
We were sorry to hear you preferred your experience on the terrace to your evening near the fireplace.
As for food quality, rest assured our chef Eric Gonzalez always uses local products and is very concerned about traceability.
We sincerely hope you will be back for a third visit.
Have a great day!

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

Have shared before, ate here first in 1974, have returned four times in the past two years. The chef us superb, the wait staff so friendly and efficient. Wonderful meals of seafood and lamb. Great memories, still being made!

Thank you so much Mr. Parker!
The Auberge did change a little bit since 1974, but we're happy to hear you think we age well ;)
See you soon!
