“Nothing fancy, just what we needed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

Good chinese food - I had tofu and vegetables. Quite simple, but nothing wrong with that! Portions were very generous, vegetables were fresh tasting. Right on the main drag in Chinatown, and a good place to recharge after a long day of sightseeing! The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Great chinese food, best won ton soup in town !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2012

Go there with a few people to order many different dishes so you can enjoy as much of this great place as possible. Don't miss the Won Ton soup, general Tao chicken, chili and salt shrimps, duck. Don't expect a romantic dinner here: typical family place: fast service, average movement/noise, weird English/French service.

Overall: great Chinese food at a very nice price (max 20$ per person)

“Need good cooks”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2012

Ever since the change in ownership, late 2009 or 2010, quality has slowly diminished.
On our last visit, the wontons in the wonton soup were all dough and nothing like they were before filled with minced meat and veggies.
Hot and sour soup was a shadow of a good Hot & sour soup.
Fish in hot pot had too much dough.
General Tao Chicken was not bad although I find it a little too dry.
Moo Sho pork was good but lacking some chopped scallions on the side.
On the plus side there is a nice big frame with painted flowers.
This place is in need of good cooks.

“Decent Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2011

We stopped here after a tour of Old Montreal and had a very nice dinner. We are Chinese so we know what is authentic or not. While the menu has a lot of the standard American/Chinese food (wonton soup, etc) but it does have a selection of authentic dishes like water spinach in fermented bean curd. The food was cooked well and the cost was fair. Not much selection in this small chinatown but this restaurant filled our stomachs nicely.
