We've stayed many times at this hotel in Old Montreal and love its spacious suites, up-to-date furnishings, complementary breakfast and free drinks! This trip we arrived early and it was no problem to let us have the room 2 hours ahead - it was much appreciated! The location is perfect for Old Montreal shopping and eating and we'll definitely stay here again.

Located adjacent to Old Montreal, Embassy Suites offers spacious accommodations, complimentary nightly receptions and breakfast daily. Relaxing spot to hang out with your family while taking in all that Montreal has to offer.

Absolutely no complaints about location. Just phenomenal - especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Being from the greater NYC area, the hubs and I are used to walking and comfortable with subway systems in general (le metro, in Montreal), so we found the location to be phenomenal. We love Embassy Suites as a brand, and while this was excellent for the price and location, it is by no means the best we've ever stayed at. I echo the complaints of other reviewers (the omelets really are like shoe leather! the construction will wake you up at 6am every weekday!), but for a reasonable price you are given a relatively new, roomy suite in a convenient area of town (plus free breakfast and drinks). We found housekeeping to be a bit unreliable. The second day of our stay, we left our room at 8:30 am and came back at 4:30 only to find that our room had not been made up yet. We hadn't been in our room more than 5 minutes when housekeeping knocked on our door and told us we had to leave so she could clean DESPITE our room being empty all day (without a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door). We were a bit frustrated by that, and found that housekeeping came late in the day in general while we were there. We twice ran into her walking out of our room in the mid- to late-afternoon. Parking is a bit pricey as well ($26/day), but being in the city, you expect to pay to park. Not sure that I would stay here again if we found ourselves in Montreal (especially having seen some truly excellent hotels in the same general area), but it certainly met our needs for this trip.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that faces the street, as they are doing construction in the courtyard and they be...

i was fortunate enough to be able to spend nearly a week at this great hotel. the staff was helpful and super 'customer friendly; and went above and beyond. found the food to be okay........ate breakfast and evening snacks w/ drinks.no large meals. happy hour was always crowded.

one complaint was the price of a 12 oz can of coca cola was $4 if you went in to buy only the can of coke. :( didn't know that ice and soft drinks were not 'usual' as iin america.

montreal is a beautiful town and i hope to return there someday.

Because we were in Montreal I was surprised to see the omellette was like a piece of shoe leather all 3 mornings. Also the couch in our room was worn and dirty. Other than that the hotel was fine. The concierge was excellent. The layout of the room was good. As were the beds. Would stay again due to the room rate and location.

Some good...some bad. I wanted to book a hotel close to Notre Dame and Old Montreal, but I might have missed the mark with this hotel. Good location for walking; Notre Dame is five minute walk, old Montreal close by too. China Town about 10 minute walk, Le Presse and Congress Centre steps away. We arrived at 3:10pm and found our room not ready, with a cart full of luggage and after a long drive it was somewhat annoying to have to wait. However, we were impressed by the size of the room we were given when the room was finally ready; apartment sized with a good sized kitchen, granite counters, full sized fridge. No view at all; construction views from every window. The private bed room was small and nearly impossible to walk around the bed to the bathroom, squeezing past the bed. Bedroom very dark, only one small over head light and a bed side lamp made it hard to read at night. Living room was a good size with a pull out sofa and fireplace, large flat screen tv, work desk space; very practical. Perfect for our teen kid who wanted her own space ;) However, the sofa bed only came with one sheet and blanket and at 11pm we waited 43 minutes to get a second (very thin) blanket when we called the front desk. Disappointed to have to wait so long...wanted to go to sleep!! Breakfast was included...but not impressed. Watery orange juice, limp fruit, Bacon and sausages were ok, but the eggs were appalling and the pancakes were cold, hard and weird. I guess it's free so whatever, at least the coffee was good. Just a warning... apparently most of the restaurants in the area are closed on Mondays and the area gets a little shaddy after 6pm.
