“very nice stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

just one night here but the hotel lived up to all expectations for an Embassy Suite. Dinner in the lounge was good and quite reasonable especially with the Manager receptions drinks. Room was very nice and the hotel staff was very accommodating.

I chose this hotel based on location, breakfast & happy hour included & past experience with Embassy Suites. The location is GREAT, within 4 blocks of the airport bus, across the street from the subway station, 2 blocks from the Basilica de Notre Dam, 5-8 blocks from Old Port, etc. Our room was very spacious, even having a kitchenette, though no silverware or dishes...those you could ask for in the restaurant. It did have both a mini fridge & freezer, along with a microwave. The bed wasn't comfortable, a real disappointment. when I called for an extra blanket, we received a bed sheet, I guess a loss in translation from French to English... Wi-fi was free in the lobby, but $10.00/day in the room. The breakfast was OK, though 1 day of the omlette was enough...just not very tasty. Fresh fruit, swiss cheese, cereal & pancakes were also available, along with bacon, sausage & scrambled eggs. The grill could use a face lift...aluminum foil covered many of the pipes, but didn't look very nice... Happy hour each nice was enjoyable. You receive 2 drink coupons per person and they have a buffet of vegies, chips & dip. The staff of the hotel was very friendly & especially helpful when learning how to navigate the subway, which is GREAT! A metro pass for 3 days is $18.00, including airport transport, so no reason to rent a car. This hotel does not have a swimming pool.... Overall, a nice stay!

We just stayed there in January. We arrived right when the happy hour ending so we didn't get to enjoy that. It would have been nice because we were very tired from our drive. Our room was very big and had lots of room for Myself, Husband and two teen age daughters. They loved the bathroom! Breakfast was great in the morning. We needed extra blankest for the pull out couch and housekeeping brought them right up.

We stayed at this hotel in October. The rates included a nice breakfast and at 5pm, they had a happy hour type setup with carrots, celery sticks, snacks, and beer which was a welcome surprise since we arrived hungry and tired. Our room was nice and the front desk was accommodating. Our room consisted of a bedroom, living area, kitchen, and a large bathroom, more than adequate for two people. Hotel is in a good location for sightseeing as it is just about 2 blocks from the Notre Dame cathedral and Old Montreal. We would stay here again. Only problem that we encountered was one elevator was broken while we were there leaving only one elevator for guests to use so it was a chore getting back and forth to the room, but that was fixed by the next morning.

This is the first time we drove to Montreal. When you arrive in the city you are better off if you park your car and take t city transportation. Montreal is a beautiful city; they stress their French history and culture. The Embassy Suite Montreal is a modern building located in an area that gives you access to restaurants, nightlife and tourist attraction. The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent. The Embassy Suite has an excellent restaurant on site. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, the food was good and reasonable priced for the area. The cost to stay her is pricy in my opinion but I guess you have to pay for quality lodging. There are several bus tours that will pick up you up at the hotel and bring you back after the bus tour. We took a bus tour of Montreal and enjoyed the tour. If you need a laptop to get on the interned they will rent you a computer. I have always been amazed by the hospitality and courtesy of the Canadian people. If it was not so cold up here in the winter I would consider moving her.

The balding wait staff is very rude. Supposedly, they ask for coupons for the complimentary breakfast before entry to the lounge. If they ensure that their posts are always manned then he wouldn't be so stupid to ask me again for my coupon after I've finished getting my plate. And this also happened to another one in our group two days back.
