Stayed for 3 nights over the Sept long weekend with a group of 6. The 2-bedroom suite was spacious, though run down and really need new carpets. Not sure if its a Montreal thing but there were a ton of spiders everywhere we went. The staff was super friendly and called in to check on us once we got to our room. Water pressure in the shower was awesome. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something cheap to share with a group of friends rather than getting separate rooms. But you really have to accept the fact that this place isn't "hotel quality" and more like staying in an old apartment building.

We stayed at the Candlewood suites last week (8/19 - 8/21) and it was fantastic. The location was great - easily walkable to attractions and the Metro. Close to the public bike rack and lots of restaurants. The hotel was clean. Our suite had 2 large bedrooms, a living room, and a full kitchen. It also had a 24 hour gym, which was also decent. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again if we went back to Montreal. Only downside was that you could not really park around the hotel, you needed to valet, which was about $20/day.

This is a great little hotel in the heart of Montreal. You can walk to pretty much most of the local touristy things and areas. The suites are nice. They have a nice kitchen area, if you are staying for awhile.

However, it is a chain hotel and there is nothing fancy about it. But, if you are traveling on a budget and not looking for anything unique, this is a great place to stay.

Our stay at the Candlewood Suites was extremely good. The rooms are spacious and have a separate bedroom and kitchen facilities. The staff were helpful both in making our stay comfortable and giving us tips on good things to see and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we re-visit Montreal It was also good value for money

We (family of 5 adults) stayed here in a 2-bedroom suite. While there were some minor complaints, we found the hotel to be a great value for our needs. For the price of one room, we were able to comfortable sleep 5 adults, have plenty of living space, and have a kitchen at our disposal. The location was fantastic; we were able to walk nearly everywhere, and it was a quick walk to the Metro for the few times we needed it. We had a nice view of Mont Royal and the cross, and if we opened the windows, got to listen to the jazz festival at night. Parking was very easy with the valet at the Holiday Inn next door.

Upon arrival, the air conditioner was not working. Turns out someone had disconnected something before we arrived. It was fixed fairly quickly and we had no problems with it again. However, the second, smaller bedroom does not have an AC, and it was really warm in there. We were in Montreal during an unusually warm time, I think, but it did make it uncomfortable for the people sleeping in that room. The only other complaint we had was that the room had no hair dryer, though we had been told there would be one. This was quickly remedied when mentioned to the front desk- someone soon arrived at our door with one.

Overall, it was a nice place to stay and fit our purposes well. We would consider staying there again in the future.
